Insurance Coverage for
W-2 Employees

All W-2 employees who are payrolled through OOTB Solutions are covered by the following insurances.

OOTB can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for any of the following insurance policies upon a client’s request. Please email your Account Manager or admin@ootbsolutions.com to submit a COI request.  

Workers’ Compensation

OOTB provides a top-rated workers’ compensation policy to protect our clients and their teams.

  • Employees have access to prompt, free-of-cost medical treatment for on-the-job injuries or illnesses.

  • Up to $1,000,000 of coverage for medical care, temporary disability benefits, permanent disability benefits, supplemental job displacement benefits, return-to-work supplements, and death benefits.

  • Coverage is only provided for employees who are paid W-2 wages by OOTB. Coverage is not provided for personnel paid as independent contractors.

  • There is no deductible or retention charge for workers’ compensation insurance.

  • The cost of workers’ compensation is included in the OOTB fee structure for payrolling W-2 personnel. 

Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI)

OOTB provides a $1,000,000 Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) policy.

  • EPLI covers many, but not all, employment related claims including, but not limited to: discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.

  • OOTB’s EPLI policy has a $50,000 deductible. This is the client’s financial responsibility before they may utilize the policy to cover expenses such as defense costs and damages related to claims brought against OOTB Solutions by personnel engaged by the client.

  • OOTB’s EPLI policy only covers personnel paid by OOTB Solutions as employees.

  • The premium cost for EPLI coverage is included in the OOTB fee structure for payrolling W-2 personnel.

General Liability and Non-Owned Auto Insurance

OOTB provides a $2,000,000 per incident / $4,000,000 annual aggregate limit policy for General Liability and non-owned auto insurance to cover general claims such as property damage and personal injury resulting from operations related to the services of OOTB.

  • The premium and deductibles for the general liability insurance policy are included in the OOTB fee structure for all paid personnel. 

Disability, Paid Family Leave, & Unemployment Insurance Benefits

OOTB employees are eligible to participate in and receive benefits from these state-sponsored programs:

  • Personnel who are paid W-2 wages are eligible for these benefits. Personnel who are paid as independent contractors are not eligible.

  • OOTB facilitates the process for employees who wish to use these benefits.
